Are You Registered to Vote?
Voter registration for the general election ends at 5PM on October 8. There are opportunities to register and vote at early voting locations. Contact the Board of Elections for details.
You can register to vote if you are:
- A United States citizen
- A resident of North Carolina for at least 30 days before the election
- At least 18 years old* by the general election (November 2, 2010)
- Not registered to vote in another county or state
- If you have been convicted of a felony, your rights of citizenship have been restored
* If you are 17 and will be 18 by Election Day (November 2, 2010) you can register and vote in the primary.
