Please share with us a short personal/professional biography::Married to Ann, four Children, Army Veteran, Barbering for 42 years, served as a Deacon at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, Member of Lions Club, served as President , Mint Hill Masonic Lodge 742, Oasis Shriners, Member and past president of Master Barbers Association

Most important organizations you belong to (up to three)::Mint Hill Lions Club, Director of Lions Madness 5 K. Mint Hill Masonic Lodge 742, Oasis Shriners.

List up to three (3) of your most important political/civic accomplishments in the last five (5) years::Never had a tax increase and continued to increase the town services. (Fire, Police) I have worked with citizens of Mint Hill that the town doesn’t lose it character. (Zoning, new business)
Listing to the people of what they want and how they feel on different issues every day in the Town.

Why are you running for the office of your choice?: I have been a Mint Hill Commissioner for 10 years. I moved from Charlotte to Mint Hill 24 years ago. I moved here because I like the Home Town Feeling of Mint Hill. We liked the Schools ours kids would be attending and the people here. These are some of the reasons I am running for Town Commissioner. I want to continue to serve on a board that works as a team to insure that Mint Hill remains the great towm that it currently is.

What makes you the most qualified candidate?: I respect all candidates running for Commissioner of Mint Hill and believe the ones I know are qualified. I stand on my record as a Commissioner as using very good judgment and having the good common sense to help make the decisions that benefit the citizens of Mint Hill.

What regional issue do you believe most affects your municipality (such as crime, roads, schools, etc.) and what role do you believe your municipality can play in improving it?: There is always room for improvement. I believe we could meet once or twice a year with other towns to discuss the issues and reach an agreement on what we can do to help each other and try to solve problems. As a delegate at Centalina Council of Govertment we work on some of these issues. (Air,Water, Traffic, Land, Open Space)

Do you believe there could be better collaboration among the municipalities in Mecklenburg County? If so, what would you suggest to improve it?: I believe we could meet once or twice a year with other towns to discuss the issues and reach an agreement on what we can do to help each other and try to solve problems we have at our town
