What past experience do you have that best prepares you for this office? (150 word limit): Wife; mother of two children and three step-children; grandmother of twelve; great grandmother of seven; small business owner; and Mayor of Charlotte.
What do you believe is the most important thing Congress should accomplish in the coming year? (200 word limit): Along with extending the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts, Congress must stop runaway deficit spending to put us on a path to a balanced budget. It is unconscionable for Congress to mortgage our children and grandchildren’s future by spending money we don’t have.
