What qualities or experience do you bring that will make you an effective county commissioner? (150 word limit): I have gained insightful experience from serving my current two year term as the County Commissioner for District 2; it has been during this term that I believe I have had the opportunity to understand the needs of this community. I also gained experience from serving on the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School Board and being a community activist for the needs of various people. I am dedicated and committed to addressing the needs of this community.

Do you think county government is living up to its responsibility to adequately fund education? Please explain your position (200 word limit): The county could always do more to support the funding needs of education; however in the current economic state I do believe that the county is doing a good job to provide and support the education system. Collaboration and communication with school board leadership is an effective tool for the county government to help create more ideas for funding education.
