What do you feel is the most important quality in a sheriff and why? (150 word limit): The most important quality in a sheriff is the ability to lead. The ability to put politics aside and focus on public safety needs for the community.

Do you feel the different law enforcement agencies in Mecklenburg County do a good job of coordinating scarce resources and preventing duplication of effort? If not, what changes would you advocate? (200 word limit): Yes, but there is still a gap that needs to be filled. An interstate Interdiction team for Drugs and Human Trafficking. Primary focus will be the interstate highways, Hotels, Motels, and truck stops.
