ABOUT
For more than 50 years, the League of Women Voters of Charlotte-Mecklenburg has been a leader in providing Charlotte-area citizens with civics education and opportunities to become involved in local and state politics.
Each year, the League of Women Voters produces a voter guide for Charlotte-Mecklenburg’s local elections, providing candidates with the opportunity to complete a questionnaire that gives voters a more personal idea of who they are and their stances on local issues.
This year, GenerationEngage and KidsVoting joined the League to build an interactive website where members of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg community can find information on each locally elected office, read profiles of candidates running for local office, and find a community calendar listing ways to get involved.
The goal of CharMeckVotes.org is to encourage active participation among all members of the greater Charlotte community in local elections and to improve the civic health of our community between election cycles. The site will remain live and updated throughout the year.
